Energy Seal
Learn to cleanse and seal your energetic container.

FOUNDATIONAL PRACTICE
Energy Sealing is a movement and visualization practice that helps you differentiate your energy from others, a vital step in staying grounded in your truth and doing your own work.
By envisioning vibrant energy flowing through every layer of your being, the practice clears stagnant or foreign energy and reinforces your inner vitality.
This culminates in forming a protective 8-sided seal and cocoon around your energy field, preventing leaks and shielding you from unwanted influences.
It’s a powerful way to maintain balance, clarity, and alignment in your daily life.
Phoenix Ha – Energy Seal
-
Energy sealing is essential for this work because it allows you to retain the power you are cultivating while gaining clarity about what you truly are. By creating an energetic boundary, it helps you distinguish your own energy from external influences, protecting your progress and grounding you in your authentic self. This practice ensures that the transformative work you do is fully integrated and not diminished by outside energies, enabling you to experience deeper insights and lasting change.
-
Set healthy energetic boundaries, feel more centered, clear and focused in life, whether you find yourself in a crowd, work or family dinner, and avoid burnout or emotional overwhelm.
-
The roots of Energy Sealing trace back to the 18th century with Franz Mesmer, who pioneered the concept of an energetic field surrounding all living beings. In 1780, Mesmer discovered that passing hands over the body could influence this energy, and by 1873, Mesmerism was even used as a form of anesthesia—allowing surgeries to be performed without traditional pain relief. This practice also laid the groundwork for hypnosis and regression therapy.
We discovered the foundation of this practice at the Berkeley Psychic Institute, where techniques to work with energy fields were refined and taught.

A Fusion of Energetic Traditions
Energy Sealing brings together practices from diverse traditions, blending insights from 18th-century energy work, modern psychic training, and ancient tribal wisdom.
By integrating techniques from Franz Mesmer's studies on the energetic field, the teachings of the Berkeley Psychic Institute, and the protective methods of the eight-pointed seal used in Russian tribal traditions, we’ve created a practice that clears, protects, and strengthens your energy field.
Each element contributes to a powerful system designed to help you align with your true self. Expand the sections below to explore these origins in depth.
-
Energy practices connect ancient wisdom with modern science, offering physiological and psychological benefits backed by emerging research.
By observing shifts in brainwave activity, immune function, and stress markers, these practices invite exploration and personal experience, often revealing benefits that extend beyond what data alone can capture.

The eight-pointed seal incorporated into Energy Sealing has its origins in Russian tribal traditions, where it served as a protective barrier, using the eight directions to block unwanted energies from entering.
The eight-pointed seal, often represented as an eight-pointed star or octagram, is a symbol with a rich and diverse history that spans multiple cultures and regions. While it is indeed present in Russian art and symbolism, attributing its origins specifically only to Russian tribal traditions may not capture the full scope of its historical development. -
Origins and Cross-Cultural Significance
The eight-pointed star is a symbol of protection, balance, and universal harmony, appearing across diverse traditions:
Ancient Civilizations: Found in Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the Indus Valley, symbolizing regeneration and cosmic order.
Christianity: A sign of renewal and resurrection in Eastern Orthodox iconography and architecture.
Islamic Art: A motif of harmony and interconnectedness in geometric designs.
Celtic & Norse Traditions: Used for protection and spiritual guidance in knotwork and symbolism.
Many cultures invoke the eight cardinal and intercardinal directions to ensure complete protection:
Tibetan Buddhism: The Shield Mandala (Vajra) symbolizes indestructibility and protection from obstacles.
Feng Shui: The Bagua harmonizes energy (Qi) in all directions for balance and protection.
Western Ceremonial Magic: Protective circles draw from the energies of all eight directions to guard sacred spaces.
Native American Traditions: Rituals honor the spiritual significance of each direction for harmony and safety.
Japanese Onmyōdō: Seals invoke deities from all directions for balanced protection.
Islamic Talismans: Designs reference the eight directions to invoke divine safeguarding.
This universal motif reflects a profound human desire to create balance and protection in all aspects of life.
The Science of Energy
Energy-focused practices align with emerging scientific insights, offering a bridge between modern inquiry and timeless wisdom.
While not fully quantified by conventional science, research provides compelling parallels that validate their impact on the body and mind.

-
Measurable Body Fields: Tools like magnetometers have detected electromagnetic activity around the human body, often referred to as the "biofield," supporting ancient understandings of energy flows.
Changes in Patterns: Engagement in practices such as meditation or acupuncture often correlates with shifts in these fields, aligning with self-reported improvements in physical and emotional states.
-
EEG Studies: Practices that focus on energy awareness and relaxation induce shifts to alpha and theta brainwave states, associated with creativity, restoration, and emotional clarity.
Neuroplasticity: Consistent practice can reshape neural pathways, fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and self-awareness.
-
Standardization: Energy-focused methods vary widely, making consistent measurement challenging.
Subjective Outcomes: Emotional clarity and inner peace, while impactful, remain difficult to quantify.
Skeptical Bias: Limited acceptance in traditional scientific circles restricts funding and further study.
-
Wound Recovery and Resilience: Energy-focused practices have been linked to improved recovery in some clinical settings, highlighting their potential physiological benefits.
Immune Function: Studies have noted increased activity in natural killer (NK) cells, suggesting enhanced immune responses after consistent engagement in energy-based practices.
